Honor Guard

The Honor Guard of the Apple Valley Fire Protection District is a distinguished unit composed of six to ten dedicated personnel from various ranks within the District. Each member of the Honor Guard has completed rigorous training in procedures and accuracy in techniques. 

Ceremonial Excellence and Community Engagement

Our Honor Guard is committed to upholding the highest standards of ceremonial excellence and has proudly participated in a variety of significant events, including:

 9/11 Ceremonies: Paying tribute to the heroes and victims of September 11, 2001, with solemn and respectful ceremonies.

Regional Public Safety Training Center Grand Opening: Marking important milestones in our community’s public safety infrastructure.

Fourth of July Flag Retirement Ceremonies: Honoring our nation’s flag with dignity and respect during patriotic celebrations.

Community Events: Participating in a variety of local events, demonstrating our commitment to community involvement and support.

Funeral Services:  Providing respectful and dignified honors at the funerals of fallen firefighters and other public safety personnel.

Upholding Traditions and Values

The Honor Guard serves as a symbol of the Fire District’s dedication to honor, tradition, and community service. Through their precision, discipline, and respect for ceremonial customs, the Honor Guard not only represents the Apple Valley Fire Protection District but also pays homage to the broader values of public service and sacrifice.
