The Apple Valley Fire Protection District is equipped with advanced Technical Rescue capabilities, staffed by specially trained firefighters certified in Rescue Systems I & II, Swift Water Rescue I & II, and Trench Rescue. These highly skilled technicians are an invaluable asset to both the Fire District and the Apple Valley community, providing critical response and expertise during extraordinary incidents.

Our Technical Rescue team is prepared to handle a wide range of complex and high-risk situations, including:

Flash Flood and River Emergencies: Swift water rescue experts are ready to respond to sudden and dangerous water-related incidents, ensuring the safety of individuals caught in fast-moving waters.

High/Low Angle Rescues: Our team is trained in rope rescue techniques, enabling them to perform rescues on steep terrains, cliffs, and buildings, whether it’s a high-rise emergency or a precarious cliffside situation.

Auto Extrication: Equipped with specialized tools and training, our firefighters can efficiently and safely extricate individuals trapped in vehicles following accidents, providing rapid and effective response to automotive emergencies.
