About Us

Apple Valley Fire Protection District covers 206 square miles in the High Desert area of San Bernardino County. The current population within the Fire District is approximately 90,000. The District currently employs  51 full-time and 3 part-time and reserve personnel The District staffs five fire stations full time all of which provide paramedic services. The District budget for FY 20/21 is 13.7 million.

In 2020, the District responded to over 13,209 incidents, including fires and medical emergencies. Additionally, the Community Risk Reduction Division conducts commercial fire safety inspections and investigated the cause and origin of over 208 fires, as well as providing public education for District residents.
